Thank you for looking at my 1994 Ford Taurus SHO.  Many people are unfamiliar with this special car.  SHO stands for Super High Output.  What sets these apart from the regular Taurus is that the 89-95 SHO is equipped with a 220HP 24 valve DOHC V-6 manufactured by Yamaha, beefed up suspension, upgraded interior and exterior styling.  Many modifications are still available to make this car even better.

Another thing that sets this car apart, are the owners.  There are many websites and clubs that were created especially for the SHO.  Lots of helpful information can be found as well as engaging discussion.  Sites like SHOtimes and SHO Club can answer alot of your questions about the SHO.

UPDATE: car SOLD! I am keeping this page up for reference.

My history with this car.

I purchased this car off of EBay a little over a year ago in November of 2004.  I purchased it from an auto broker in Florida.  I drive my car mostly on the week ends.  I have a company vehicle for the week, so this is pretty much a recreation vehicle.  I've driven this car around 4500 miles in the year I've had it.  Since the seller was not one of the owners, there were no service records.  Since there were no records and the car had high mileage, I decided to have all preventive maintenance performed to get the vehicle up to date where it should be - assuming none had been performed before.  While this was being carried out, I also made repairs to any issues that came up.  Over the course of a year, I spent $6000 getting mostly caught up.  That's alot of money, but SHO owners mostly drive SHOs for the joy of it and not for a return on investment.   It would have been more if  I didn't have a friend that used to work at a Ford Dealership to do the work "under the table."  This car remains unmodified in it's stock status.  It was NOT flooded in Hurricane Katrina.  It came with me to Covington.

Why I am willing to sell.

I can part with my car for a couple reasons.  I am looking for a manual transmission SHO.  I don't have room for or want to insure two SHOs.  Don't get me wrong, the Automatic is fast.  Ford put 3.2 liter engines in the automatic and 3.0 liter engines in the manuals to make them equal.  I like driving a stick, so I want what I like.  Since I will probably have to sink money into the Manual SHO once I have one, I might as well save my money for when that comes.  Another reason is that this car has some rust issues underneath and in the rear quarterpanel.  This can be seen in the exterior section.  I  don't have the time or the know how to fix it myself.  I also don't want to spend the money if I will be selling it for a manual SHO.  It does not affect the performance or operation of the vehicle.

I am listing all the issues I know about this car so that you can make a sound informed decision.  This car is not for everyone, so please read this whole site and ask any questions.  Please, only serious inquiries.
